Oakmore is an affluent Oakland neighborhood located in between Interstate 580 and CA Highway 13, approximately 5 miles from Downtown Oakland. Outdoor and hiking enthusiasts love Oakmore due to its close proximity to Joaquin Miller Park. Named after the American poet who once called lived on the park’s grounds, Joaquin Miller Park features 500 acres of dense redwoods, oak trees, and pine trees. Since the park is dog friendly, this is a great location for morning/afternoon jogs with your pup, and the fenced-in dog areas are ideal for your furry friends to roam off-leash.
